So, today is the big day – it’s the launch of both alt_classical and the first public performance of Terminal! I have spent the past week and a bit prepping for this event, making sure the album is performable live (it is, just about..!) and making sure it holds together between my cello, the computer and the speakers! Yes, another live music rant. Don’t look so surprised. Other than learning some “standard” repertoire for the coming season, my spare time (haha) has been taken up with reworking Terminal for live performance. Nerdy thing that makes me happy
On Twitter, there’s a new, dedicated page for Retweets. It is split in 3: “Retweets by Others”, “Retweets by You” and finally, “Your Tweets, Retweeted”. I can’t explain why, but the correctly placed comma in the final category makes me very satisfied. I honestly don’t know why. It’s just a comma. But actually, it’s the same in music I like. It’s always the tinyest thing, the potentially ignorable detail, that makes it “your” track. Often you can’t explain it, it’s just there.
