Spheres & Splinters was commissioned by Faster Than Sound at Aldeburgh Music, and brought  Tod Machover and his team at the MIT Media Lab, cellist Peter Gregson, ambsonic sound designer Ben Bloomberg and leading visual collective United Visual Artists together for a brand new collaboration. Together they explored the properties of acoustic and electronic music to create a unique experience for audiences at Snape Maltings (Suffolk) and Kings Place (London), November 2010. Spheres & Splinters was subsequently performed at the opening concert of the MIT 150th anniversary FAST Festival, Boston, February 2011.
